CranioSacral Therapy: Does it Work?

Yes it does!  Most people know that the tailbone (Sacral Bones) can be adjusted and moved by a chiropractor.  Many people don’t know that the skull is made up of multiple bones, not one big one.  Every bone in the body can be moved and adjusted to it’s correct position, and even just a little bit makes a big difference.  The Cranial Bones are included in this.

CranioSacral Therapy can assist in treating a wide range of illnesses, pain, and dysfunction, including:Chiropractor Adjustment of Woman in White Shirt, Image

Read on to find out how CranioSacral Therapy works….

CranioSacral Therapy is a light-touch therapy that addresses restrictions in the craniosacral system, which system includes the membranes and fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. This vital system extends from the bones of the skull and face, which make up the cranium, down to the sacrum or tailbone area.

CranioSacral Therapy is done using light touch generally no more than the weight of a nickel.  A Chiropractor or CranioSacral Therapist monitors the rhythm of the craniosacral system to detect potential imbalances. The therapist then uses delicate manual techniques to release the problem areas of the craniosacral system and relieve pressure on the brain and spinal cord.  This results in a craniosacral system free of restrictions and a body that is better able to heal itself.
